Ring heaters are made from high resistance metal tape wound around a base. The insulating material in this type of clamp heaters is a mica plate with increased thermal insulation. Such cuff electric heaters heat products up to 350 °C. The power value of a standard heater of this type is 4 W/cm2.

The fields of application of electric ring heaters are diverse: they can be installed on extruder barrels, heat plastic material, as well as modern substances such as polymers that require high temperatures.
