Gear chains owing to the best conditions of gearing with teeths of asterisks work with smaller noise therefore them sometimes call silent. In comparison with others gear chains heavier, it is more difficult in production and is more expensive therefore they are applied restrictedly. As width of gear chains can be any (chains up to 1,7 m wide meet), they are applied to transfer of big capacities.
