Pollution of oil in the working engine happens, unfortunately, continuously. Its intensity depends on many factors: here both engine design, and quality of fuel, and modes of operation and many other things.
The polluting impurity can be divided into two main groups - organic and inorganic. Organic with the main consist of products of incomplete combustion of fuel, compounds of sulfur, and also products of thermal decomposition, oxidation and polymerization of oil and fuel.
