Bolt

— a rod with a screw groove on one end and a head on the friend, serving for detachable joints of separate parts of machines and designs by means of a nut. Depending on assignment, bolts are produced various designs, with heads of a different form. Bolts are applied in mechanical engineering and construction as connection parts. In a form of a head are subdivided into bolts with a many-sided head, most often with hexagon and with a shaped head (semicircular, secret, terminal, mortgage, connection, etc.). The greatest distribution was gained by hexagon head bolts which are applied in the connections experiencing strain of the most different character: static, cyclic, dynamic.
