Such large number of different types of sorbents testifies to a dissatisfaction of consumers with quality of the known sorbents and search of the new types satisfying to a ratio "price quality". Quality of sorbents is defined mainly by their capacity in relation to oil, water repellency degree (nenamokayemost in water), buoyancy after oil sorption, a possibility of a desorption of oil and regeneration or utilization of a sorbent.
