BERGMEAL (diatomite)

Bergmeal (diatomite) — friable, slightly cemented, tonkoporisty opal sedimentary breed with the small content of fossils, consists of small spherical opal little bodies (globul) 0.01 in size — 0.001 mm, with impurity of clay minerals, a glaukonita, quartz, field spars.

Bergmeal (diatomite) is the active hydraulic additive used by production of a portlandtsement and puzzolanovy portlandtsement. In a dry and ground look bergmeal can be used as a part of dry construction mixes as actively micro filler, serves as excellent fertilizer, can filter and purify oil, oils, sewage, adsorbing heavy metals and toxic chemicals.

In construction bergmeal gains the increasing popularity as irreplaceable raw materials in production of liquid glass, a fire-resistant and heat-resistant brick as a heater of a floor of walls of a roof (nothing live is got) in buildings and constructions.

Bergmeal is used also in vegetable storehouses: there they absorb excess moisture from potatoes and other vegetables, in agriculture and the food industry. And the list of scopes is still far from end.
