Automatic illumination of steps

The controller is intended for automatic illumination of ladders by means of low-power LED light sources. One controller is able to provide lighting from 4th to 21 steps. Controllers have a possibility of consecutive inclusion that allows to increase possible quantity of steps almost indefinitely. The system provides flexible control under any requirements of consumers. The controller can be used together with the sensor of illumination or without it, with switches through passage, simple pyroelectric (infrared) digital motion sensors and provide smooth consecutive inclusion at receipt of a signal from sensors in the direction of the movement of the people who entered on a ladder. Or with dual sensors to the Veda calculation of the people who are on a ladder, considering the number of the entered and left people, providing illumination of a ladder until people are at steps. The controller has flexibly adjusted interface and available intuitively clear control. Prost in installation.

The controller is executed in the plastic case which can be fixed on a DIN lath or attached to a surface by means of screws or self-tapping screws. (photo cm)

When using the controller in the mode of 4 motion sensors.

Algorithm of work of system

At pass of the external sensor the timer on 2 sec. is cocked. If pass of the second internal sensor is during this time made, the controller will begin smooth inclusion of steps in the direction of the movement and the counter of number of people on a ladder will increase by unit. At the return passing of sensors from internal the controller similarly fulfills raising of the timer of the internal sensor on 2 sec. and when passing external the counter will subtract from the number of people on a ladder unit. If after raising of the sensor within 2 seconds there is no operation of the second that the timer is dumped and sensors pass into a waiting mode again. When the counter of people on a ladder is equal to zero, smooth consecutive switching off of steps in the direction of pass of the person will begin with one or with two parties, depending on the direction of the movement. If after an entrance on a ladder for what-tio reasons the counter of an exit did not work, or the person did not leave a ladder, time counter set in the item of 5 settings turns on. After the specified time illumination of a ladder will be switched off on the same algorithm and counters of people on a ladder are nullified is not dependent on that people left a ladder or not. The waiting time can be established rather big to nullify an opportunity to remain on a dark ladder. It is not recommended to determine time on much bigger from demanded for passing of a ladder.

When using the controller in the mode of 2 motion sensors.

If the controller is used in the mode of 2 sensors (it is set in the item of 7 settings), then algorithm of work following. At operation of the motion sensor illumination in the direction of the movement of the person joins. I.e. from the worked sensor to opposite. If in the course of the movement at not completely included illumination the sensor from the opposite side worked - counter illumination in the direction of the movement of other person who entered on a ladder joins. After the ladder will join completely, the expectation timer (set in item 5 of the menu of settings) then illumination of steps will smoothly be switched off in the same order turns on.

Use of the sensor of lighting.

The controller can be used both with the sensor of illumination and without it. At connection to the controller of the sensor of illumination it is necessary to activate its use (item 1. settings) or to deactivate if the sensor is not used. The sensor should be installed in such place what on it light from internal lighting and from illumination of steps would not get. The digital sensor gives on the port of the controller logical 0 when lighting not sufficient or logical unit if lighting level less than the set limit. At insufficient lighting illumination of the first and last steps on duty is activated and the controller is allowed to include illumination of steps on signals from motion sensors depending on the established algorithm (see above). If at the movement on a ladder at the included or included illumination of steps suddenly on the sensor of light light more brightly than a threshold of turning on of the controller gets - illumination of a ladder and steps on duty will be switched off, and the controller will pass into the mode on duty. Operation of motion sensors and processing of counters of people on a ladder is conducted even then when illumination on a signal of the sensor of illumination is not carried out.
