Astilbe (astilba) is perennial kornevishchny grassy plants with the elevated part which is dying off for the winter. Stalks are upright, height depending on a look - from 8 to 200 cm. Numerous radical leaves on long scapes, twice or three times plumose, are more rare simple, dark green or reddish-green, gear. Small flowers, white, pink, lilac, red or purple, are collected in top inflorescences - whisks of various length. Blossom in June — July. Inflorescences can be pyramidal, rhombic, panicled, but hanging are especially graceful. Decorative effect of inflorescences depends on their density. Small florets are collected in the extended whisks. Petals of florets at one grades short, and inflorescences turn out air and openwork, at other grades petals are extended, and these inflorescences look soft, fluffy. It is very beautiful when at an inflorescence there are several flowers or shades. All astilba of a vlagolyubiva, are winter-hardy, steady against wreckers and diseases.
