Composition
0,8g of the drug contains active ingredients:
- Praziquantel 50 mg;
- Pyrantel pamoate(embonat) 150 mg;
- Excipients

Pharmacological characteristic

Praziquantel works by killing sensitive flatworms: cestodes and trematodes. Pyrantel pamoate (embonat) is active against nematodes (roundworms).
Forcarnivora animals"Prazitabs" is used to treat infectionscaused bycestodes: echinococcosis (imaginal form of Echinococcus granulosus) tenіasis (Taenia multiceps, Taenia hydatigena, T.ovis, T.pisiformis, Hydatigena taeniaeformis), dipylidiosis dipіlіdіozі (Dipylidium caninum - imaginal and larval forms) Diphyllobothriasis (Diphyllobothrium latum) and trematodes (Opisthorchis felineus). Namatodosis of dogs and cats: toxocarosis (Toxocara canis, Toxocara mistax),toxascaris(Toxascaris leonina) trichuriasis(Trichuris spp.), ancylostomiasis (Ancylostoma caninum), uncinariosis (Uncinaria stenocephala), Dirofilariasis (Dirofilaria repens, D. Immitis).

The action of prazikquantelis based on of fumarat reductasesynthesis suppression on myofibril membrane and neuromuscular synapses which cause paralysis and helminth death.

Application

Deworming of dogs and cats infected bycestodes, trematodes, nematodes.

Dosage
Drug is applied per os,individually one-time with mealor on the root of tongue, in the doses shown below:

Dose of the drug according to theweight of animal (intablets)

Dogs:

2 kg -1 /4 tablet
2-5 kg - 1 /2 tablets
5.10 kg - 1 tablet
10-20 kg - 2 tablets
20-30 kg - 3 tablets
30-40 kg -4 tablets
40-50 kg -5 tablets

Cats:

1 /2 tablets

Kitten:

1/4 tablet

Deworming is recommended quarterly (4 times a year). First deworming for puppies and kittens starts at onemonth age.

Contraindications and Precautions

Use is forbiden in the first part of pregnancy.

Possible side effects:diarrhea , hyper salivation, vomiting.
