High - capacity strongly basic sorbent, gel structure, with a standard granulometric composition.
It is a non - explosive, non - flammable product, does not have a toxic effect on the human body.
General description:
Ionic form:
- Cl - chloride
Functional group - basic quaternary trimethylammonium groups.
The matrix is styrene - divinylbenzene.
The structure is gel.
Applications: anion exchanger can be used in all traditional ion exchange processes, including:
- softening and demineralization of water at thermal and nuclear power plants, boiler rooms
- treatment of technological solutions and waste water
- separation and separation of non - ferrous metals -
Packing: polyethylene or polypropylene bags of 20 kg, packed in soft containers of the MKR type, weighing 450 - 550 kg.
Storage conditions: Anionite is stored in a moist state in a container of the manufacturer in dry and clean warehouses at a temperature of at least 2 o C.
When moisture is lost, it is subjected to swelling in a 5 - fold (20 - 24)% NaCl solution. After 3 - 10 hours, the solution is poured off and the ion exchanger is washed several times with water.
Freezing of the anion exchanger does not affect its properties. Defrosting of the anion exchanger is carried out at a temperature of (10 - 20) ° C for 2 - 4 days. Mechanical shock should be avoided during operation.
The guaranteed shelf life of the anion exchanger is 1 year. If the storage conditions are met, the shelf life can be extended after repeated tests for compliance with ND.
Recommended operating conditions:
- The water supplied to the anion exchanger should be as cleaned as possible from suspended and colloidal particles. Suspended and colloidal particles, enveloping the anionite granules, reduce the sorption of ions from water and increase the pressure drop in the system.
- Contamination of the anion exchanger with oils is unacceptable. They form a film around the anion resin granules, which prevents the ion exchange reaction.
- After loading the anionite into the filter, it is necessary to backwash it with water (3 - 5 volumes of water per 1 volume of anionite) until the filtrate is transparent.
- When supplying the anion exchanger in the chloride form for operation in the OH - ionization system, the anion exchanger must be preliminarily converted into the OH - form (5 ± 0.5)% NaOH solution at the rate of 5 volumes of NaOH solution per 1 volume of the anion exchanger.
- The recommended way of loading the anion exchanger into the filter is hydrotransportation. Pneumatic and vacuum transport is not permitted.
